Boojum Blanchardstown: We’re officially open and ready to roll!

The sleepless nights spent in anticipation; the X’ing the days off your calendar each morning; the constant refreshing of your socials for the latest scrap of info or any tiny clue for opening day; it’s all finally over… Boojum Blanchardstown is open for business!

Our doors will be open from 11:30am each day from Wednesday 1st December, ready to serve up the best burritos, tacos, fajitas and nachos this side of Mexico and we can’t wait to see you down there!

Wait, Boojum’s coming to Blanchardstown?!

Boojum Blanchardstown

Yup!

It’s been nearly two months since we first announced we were finally bringing the Booj to the D15 ‘burbs and beyond - believe us when we say, plenty of you have reminded us of this via the DMs! - be we guarantee that the wait will have been well worth it.

For all you Northside suburbanites it’s huge news - this will be the first time ever that you can pick up your favourite Boojum order without having to travel into the city centre!

Ain’t nobody got time for that at the best of times, but now that the days are shorter and the evenings darker you won’t even have to get off the sofa to enjoy damn good Mexican food delivered direct to your door - Netflix and chill(i) anyone?

Where is Boojum Blanchardstown located?

Boojum Blanch

You’ll find our new store outside Blanchardstown Centre, across the street from the Odeon cinema and just a few doors up from Krispy Kreme.

If you thought Blanch was the centre of the universe already, just wait ‘til we arrive!

What the heck took you so long?!

Blanchardstown Boojum

We know that Blanch has been by far our most-requested store ever, with literally hundreds of die-hard Dublin burrito fans sliding deep into those DMs over the years to petition for a Blanchardstown location.

Keen Boojum fans will also remember when we parked our famous Boojmobile food truck outside Blanch Centre back in 2018, which proved to be one of the busiest periods that lil’ truck ever saw.

The only reason it took us so long was that we wanted to make sure we found the perfect spot: somewhere central to the Blanch area that was big enough for our kitchen and seating areas but that also had the right space and access for our new delivery concept (more on that in a sec).

Does Boojum Blanchardstown deliver?

Boojum Blanch

We do! You can order to sit-in or takeaway, or alternatively you can have your order delivered to your door via one of our delivery partners including Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats.

For the first time you’ll also be able to get Boojum delivered to the D15 areas and beyond, meaning thousands of would-be burrito lovers can now order without the need to even put on a pair of slippers (but please at least put on some clothes before answering the door).

Excitingly, our new Blanch store will be the first to trial an innovative delivery-only service line. That means a separate service area specifically for delivery orders - the idea is faster, better service both for customers in store and who’ve ordered delivery.

Our delivery riders can then pick up their orders from a special hatch to the side of the restaurant, which will also make their lives a lot easier and a lot more straightforward.

Anything else?

Blanchardstown Boojum

Typically we always do something a little special to mark the opening of a brand-new store, and this year is no different!

Although our opening day free burrito giveaways are now the stuff of legend, due to the current COVID situation - plus the fact that it seemed a little cruel to ask our customers to queue down the street on a cold December morning! - we thought we’d bank that one for the time being.

Instead, we’ll be donating 200 free meals to the Peter McVerry Trust, a national housing and homelessness charity that does vital work in the Blanchardstown area and beyond to tackle homelessness, drug misuse and social disadvantage.

Especially at a time like this, services like the Peter McVerry Trust are vital to provide essential accommodation and support for vulnerable people and so we’re proud to be able to partner with them and make the contribution to help provide meals to those in need.
